  • Updated description of 1991 - 2009 SPOT Satellite Imegery from

SPOT-2 (Level 1A) Imagery The SPOT-2 (Level 1A) dataset was acquired and processed in South Africa by the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), formerly known as the Satellite Application Centre (SAC). The imagery is available at a spatial resolution of 10 m (panchromatic) and 20 m (multispectral), with a swath width of approximately 60 km. Data coverage is limited to selected regions within South Africa, with acquisitions spanning the period 1999 to 2009. All imagery is distributed in GeoTIFF format, enabling compatibility with a wide range of geospatial and remote sensing applications. This dataset is particularly suitable for studies related to land cover classification, agricultural monitoring, urban expansion, forestry assessment, and environmental change analysis.
